Member of the Management Board of the Düsseldorf Bar Association and Chambers (1999-2015), its former Vice President.
Lecturer at the German Lawyers' Academy (Deutsche Anwaltakademie).
Founding member of the Committee for Human Rights of the German Federal Bar Association 2011.
Member of the Advisory Board of the specialist publication "Strafverteidiger" (Defense Counsel) (1981) and "Forensische Psychiatrie, Psychologie, Kriminologie" (Forensic Psychiatry, Psychology, Criminology) (2006).
Award of the Max-Alsberg Prize in 2009 by the German Associations of Judges (Richterbund) and the German Defense Lawyers Association (Deutsche Strafverteidiger e.V.).
